Fourth Estate is George Mason University’s official student-run news outlet.
The organization was formed in Fall 2013 in collaboration between the student newspaper, Broadside, and an student-run news website, Connect2Mason.

Their mission is to inform Mason students, faculty and alumni about what’s happening in the community. Through a weekly publication and an online presence, Fourth Estate covers everything from the Board of Visitors to the next concert coming to the Patriot Center.

This tool was made possible through the Virginia College Access Challenge Grant Program (CACGP) sponsored by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). The focus of the grant is to create a “college-going culture” across the Commonwealth of Virginia for all students, making available information pertinent to achieving these goals.
